Evaluation
Copies
A fully functional demo of Costume Vision is available for download
and evaluation. You may use this demos for a period of 30 days to
evaluate whether it meet your needs. If you decide to continue using
Costume Vision after this time you must register
the program or remove it completely from your system.
***Existing customers should not download
these versions*** without first getting in contact for
full upgrade instructions - it may be necessary to run a database upgrade
patch before newer versions can be used. See the note below
for more details.
Users of Windows NT or
Windows 2000 who receive a message which mentions "INSTMSIW.EXE"
during install should see the note on Windows Installer below.
If on running the exe file you receive a message which says: "The
cabinet file 'Data.cab' which is used for this installation is corrupt
and cannot be used..." this indicates that your download did not
complete fully and you should delete the file you download from your
computer and download the installation file again.

BY DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING ANY VISION FORECASTING DEMO PROGRAM
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU AGREE TO THE Terms
and Conditions FOR USE OF THE SOFTWARE.
Download and Installation instructions:
- Click the appropriate link above and in the dialog that appears
choose "Save this file to disk"
- Choose your download location in the save file dialog - to enable
you to find the file easily later we recommend that inexperienced
computer users choose their computer's desktop.
- Double click the exe file that has been saved (on your desktop)
once download has completed.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: For safer and more reliable installations Costume Vision uses
Microsoft Windows Installer technology. Users using less recent
versions of Windows may be required to restart their computer in
the middle of the installation in order to properly configure Windows
Installer. If this is necessary, simply follow the on screen instructions
and once your computer has restarted, run the installation program
again.
Costume Vision uses Microsoft Windows Installer
technology to manage installation and removal in a safer and more reliable
way.
Windows NT users will most likely need
to install Windows Installer to be able to run the installation of Costume
Vision, but if you are running Windows XP or Windows 2000 and receive
a message which mentions "INSTMSIW.EXE" on attempting to install you
must also click
here to download (1.7MB) and install Windows Installer first. NOTE:
Do not install this version of Windows Installer if you are using windows
95, Windows 98 or Windows Me.
Costume Vision requires Microsoft Data Access
Components to be installed on your computer.
Users with Windows 98 SE or above already have the required components
- some other users will also have these components as part of Microsoft
Office. However, if you do not have the required components the program
will direct you to the Microsoft site to download the required FREE
installation. Alternatively, you can download the components FREE from
Microsoft HERE
.
If you are running Windows XP then you will need to click
here to download and install a smaller part of these components.
Updates
For Existing Customers
For information on how to upgrade to the latest version please
use the contact forms to request upgrade information stating the
version number of Costume Vision that you are currently using.
PLEASE DO NOT UPGRADE WITHOUT FIRST EMAILING AS IT MAY BE NECESSARY
TO RUN A DATABASE UPGRADE UTILITY BEFORE THE LATEST VERSION WILL
WORK WITH YOUR EXISTING DATABASE.
